ENTA on the grid

Silverstone Circuit, home of the British F1 Grand Prix, is to replace its ticketing system with ENTA ticketing and marketing software from Galathea STS.

The contract will last for five years and the ENTA box office system will also interface with Silverstone's VMS hospitality management software supplied by Programus.

The move comes as part of redevelopment plans at the circuit designed to improve its operating efficiency and the overall customer experience.

Richard Leggatt, managing director of London-based Galathea STS, said: "This is our first sale integrating with the VMS product for hospitality, now a major requirement in many sporting venues, and it is most unusual for two such software products to integrate with each other in this way."

He added: "The staff at Silverstone realised the immediate benefits of linking all their hospitality activity into a single database to give full patron tracking and improved CRM possibilities."

Galathea STS is a division of the global Seatem Group and its ENTA ticketing software - now operating in 23 countries - was launched in 1996. UK clients include Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, The Barbican Centre, The Royal Collection, Tate Galleries and Royal Ascot Racecourse.
